Have you documented these allegations to the Board of HIgher Ed?  Have you
brought this to Sen. St. Aubyns attention or Sen. Holmberg.   As you may
know I am in a lot of trouble with he folks at UND over my involvement in
the Kendall Baker matter and the phony enrollment numbers.  Although I think
I did the right thing for the taxpayers of North Dakota it hasn't lessened
the angst I feel over doing the right thing.  As I am now running for
Congress I believe I could have little effect on the alleged problems at
UND.  Those who are staying in the legislature for 2001 are your beat bet.
I am sorry this took so long to answer.  I have been out of state for a
week and I did not get to open my mail until today.
Best of luck.

You are welcome to post the letter.  It's to bad I'm not a better typist
but the message is still there.
My concern has always been that we have a great resource at UND, there are
many good people on the faculty and staff and it is a shame that some of
the events of the past has tarnished the school and those that we entrust
to provide the services that the institution is so qualified to give.  When
UND is diminished it not only hurts the institution it causes concern with
all of higher ed.  The taxpayers want to know that there money is well
spent and citizens in general want to have faith in the people they entrust
their sons and daughters to.
