Dr. Janet Moen, UND Arbitrator and Peace Studies Instructor, THE MOST BIZARRE UND FACULTY MEMBER...

Janet Moen Peace Studies Chair of the Peace studies Program earns this Title. When a stalking victim brought to her attention the situation Moen said "it is your fault, you should leave the campus."

In another incident, when a case had been referred to her for mediation she refused and  agreed that this case should be blown up into the knock down battle by the spurned lover/professor that is the subject of the article Torrid Romance.

Pam Miller was a graduate student in sociology in 1994. She was a single Mother with two small children. Pam dated a male classmate a couple of times and it did not work out. Her peer student became obsessed and began sending her notes and cards. When Pam did not respond the way the Stalker wanted her to, he began to show up at her office and even at her home. Pam reported the student's misbehavior to Dr. Janet Moen who promptly told her that it was her fault; alluding to the fact that if she did not like it, there were other places she could finish her degree.

The Stalker began to follow Pam and even showed up at her Grandmother's funeral at Devils Lake, mingling with her relatives. He began to post thinly veiled death threats on her office door, for instance a card that said I will send you to heaven with a news article attached of a man who killed a woman he could not keep. Eventually Pam made a complaint to Sally Page and  was told that she was the disruption. Charges were then leveled at Pam! Scared out of her wits and not willing to risk her life Pam fled UND with her children and the  hopes of finishing her degree in safety.

Regarding Dr. Janet Moen, the UND arbitrator and Peace studies instructor, Pam Miller says that "Moen's feminism goes only as far as equal pay." Moen does not care about sexual harassment and will always side with the White male.
