University of North Dakota, Grand Forks Dean and Professor Judy DeMers R.N. is alleged in the following letter to be collecting 75,000 a year, when most ND hard-working practicing profs with PHD's or equivillants receive half of that. In addition Professor DeMers does not even teach the minimum required single class per semester. It would appear that the life of a politition is hard, after all she's got to designate where her check should be sent for direct deposit. We post the letter verbatim.

This is a steal and the best the money can buy nation wide . DeMers , a disposed of nurse and a former secretary at school of medicine , became by an act of God or an administrator an associate Professor of Family Practice without a doctorate degree of any kind . This was after her ordination as an associate DEAN for admission and student affairs to fulfill the enigma of a tyrant administrator . The mighty Madonna got a hefty salary raise of 10% in fiscal 1999/2000 ( as indicated in the States' Budget ), while the real med faculty ,unlike DeMers, who teach and do research were granted 2.5%-6% raises . The annual slary was thereby hiked to $ 75,636.00 exluding benefits and perks ; which if included then the cost will be close to $ 100,000.00 . She must be worth it .
A salute to the Board of higher education which requires administraors to teach at least one course per year . This administrator in the med school does not teach or do research and is a shame to the medical school for some of her alleged actions .
A question to the State Auditing Office . DeMers , through her previous function as a States' legislator , spent 3 to 4 months every biennium for 18 years in Bismark, ND attending the legislative cessions while reciving full pay from UND while away from the campus during all these periods (27 -32 months). Why, DeMers does not reimburse the State or UND for these salaries ? Is she above the law , because she was a states' legislator ,an untouchable woman or a super doper dopy hopeless case . Justice must prevail .It is our taxes too which contribute to the state auditing system.
